- FLIPSIDE BRIDE
- FLIPSIDE BRIDE is a newly devised band project from an idea dreamed up by Nicky aka Manic Pianic - a female professional keyboardist/pianist, composer/songwriter and music teacher from Southend-on-Sea, Essex, UK. Her idea is to put a band together made up of talented FEMALE musicians fronted by a MALE vocalist i.e. the FLIPSIDE of a lot of bands out there (though this doesn't mean I don't like these bands too - far from it). The emphasis will most definitely be on musicianship, talent and creativity and NOT on image, mass commercialisation and glossy overproduction. For me, this butchers imagination, it wears down spontaneity and can lead to homogenised blandness where a lot of music all starts sounding the same.
